🍱 Lunchbox Hands

About Lunchbox Hands

Lunchbox Hands is a collection of 360 free tools for small, everyday jobs: merging a PDF, shrinking a photo, formatting JSON, working out how much concrete to order. It is built and maintained by , an independent software developer (GitHub).

Why it exists

Most "free online" tools ask you to upload a file to someone else's server, sit through ads, or make an account before you can download the result. Browsers can do almost all of that work themselves now, so these tools do. Open one, use it, close the tab.

What happens to your files

Nearly every tool here runs entirely in your browser. A PDF you merge or an image you compress never leaves your device. There is no upload step because there is nothing to upload to.

A few tools cannot work that way because they have to reach the wider internet: DNS and WHOIS lookups, the SEO analyzer, redirect and header checkers, the webhook tester. Those send the address you typed to our server, which makes the request for you. Each of those tools says so on the page. The privacy page lists exactly what is logged.

How it is paid for

There are no ads, no paid tiers and no accounts. Hosting is cheap because the work happens in your browser. Tips are the only funding: if a tool saved you some time, 🥤 Buy me a Celsius☕ Buy me a coffee.

Accuracy

Calculators and converters are tested against published references (tax tables, building codes, file format specs), and posts cite their sources. Things still go wrong. If you find a wrong number or a broken tool, email the address below and it will be fixed.
